SPK is building a new pension calculator: the one members use on spk.no to see what they will receive in pension and what it means to postpone retirement by a few years, and an internal variant with more advanced functionality for case workers at the customer centre. I was brought in as architect and backend developer in March 2026 based on the result on payments.
What I do
- Solution architecture and domain model for the projection, designed together with the domain experts on retirement pensions.
- Backend in Kotlin/Spring Boot on Kubernetes, with the calculation built on SPK’s underlying domain services.
- First release: a calculator for members on the new special retirement age scheme, who can apply from October 2026.
Status
Planned for production before the end of 2026. The engagement runs until 31 December 2026.
